A storm begins to sweep through the Central Virginia region, you can see the rain fall at the upper right of the image. As the clouds take over the atmosphere they part for just a moment at the end of the day as the sun begins to set. Setting at the top of the Blue Ridge Parkway ready to photograph the impending storm, I really lucked out with this light beaming through the valley. Within a couple of minutes this magical light was gone and everything went dark.
