While taking this photo, an unexpectedly large wave caught me by surprise, splashing me and my camera. Although I had my camera covered with a plastic bag, a few drops still got through. Half an hour later, my camera began failing. The shutter would either stay open or not close. Then the LED monitor began failing. I realized that I should stop and head for dry ground.
