The image is of a friend of mine who recently got out of a bad relationship. The ribbon represents her ex-husband and how she felt bound and trapped by him.

Processed in Lightroom, Photoshop CC, and Alien Skin plugin.. I added a concrete texture image to further enhance the feeling of the image.
