A rare trip out at mid morning, I'm mainly a sunset shooter when it comes to landscapes. I went to Watson Lake this particular morning, after dropping my son at school, because the day had started out overcast. The clouds were clearing by the time I arrived, but still enough to break up the light, and the lake was dead calm. Just the way I like it! Except for the color. Everything was pretty washed out and the glow of the granite that happens at sunset was nowhere to be found. Solution, shoot for black and white.
