I made this image from an overlook on the Blueridge Parkway in Ashville, NC. Asheville was a regular spot of mines for photo ops. I drove up to one of the higher overlooks in hopes of getting some nice fall scenes with the changing light. I was the only one there and there was this very serene look and feeling as there was this moon and just a few minor clouds atop the peaks. I have a few favorites from this session and this is one of them. I enjoy better in black and white. I processed the image in Lightroom and converted to B&W in Nik Silver Effex Pro 2. I added some burn to the sky to kind of focus the viewers eye on the mountain layers in the background. Hope you enjoy.
