A member of the colorful wood warbler family, this Blue-winged searches for insects in the flowers of the tree in bloom. The warblers are challenging to photograph due to their rapid, erratic movement often higher up in the trees. Image made with Canon 7D and Canon 500mm F4 IS L lens plus 1.4 tele-converter on a Gitzo tripod with Whimberly gimbal head. Exposure was 1/1250 second at F 6.3, ISO 800
