Michigan two large bridges. The Mackinaw bridge is on everyone's list to see but those who travel to Port Huron Michigan are treated to the Blue Water Bridge, which is actually two spans built side by side. The first in 1938 and the second in 1992 when the traffic became too much for the original span. It acts as an access to Canada, and after having spent the day photographing freighters navigating the St Claire crossing under the bridge. I took a moment to take a shot without the distraction of a ship. The clouds were starting to get angrier and wind picked up considerably. I had my tripod weighted down because of the wind and with my Canon 5d2 with a 24-70mm lens, set at 28mm, attached. I set the shutter to 1/1000" to counteract the wind with the aperture at f/5.6. ISO at 100. Later, when I downloaded the images to LR, I was sure it would better in monochrome. I was not disappointed.
