I was out for a good long day hike along the Appalachian Trail in Grayson Highlands State Park. I was hoping to have a nice quiet day and I ended up getting just that. As I came down a ridge you could start to see these mountains off in the distance. I ended up making my way to an open clearing to get this shot. After taking this shot I kind of sit back and enjoyed my surroundings for a little bit then I got back on trail and started working my way to Mount Rogers.
