The gentleman was seated in a chair next to an open door. This portrait is a tad off to qualify as true Rembrandt Lighting; but then again, Rembrandt Lighting is supposed to be studio lighting from a single light source to simulate natural lighting. If you're a studio photographer, you might conclude I was only partially successful in using natural lighting to simulate Rembrandt Lighting...but in my estimation, that would be the tail wagging the dog. No, I didn't pose the subject. I noticed the "set-up" as I approached the doorway to leave and made this "grab shot."
