"Between the Lines:" Sometimes we can actually hear better in silence and see more in darkness. In this case, on a dark and silent night in late March, my camera helped me see the passage of time as evident through the star trails seeming to cut through like diagonal lines between the Mittens at Monument Valley. This is a single, non-composite, long-exposure image taken around midnight, and just before the moon began to rise (seen as a glow in the bottom right). Nikon D810, 70-200 mm (f/4 version) lens.
