This image was captured with a Nikon D7100 using 68mm of extension tubes mounted to a Nikon 80-200mm f/2.8 zoom lens at 200mm. The Exposure was 1/160th of a second @ F/4.0 using gelled Nikon SB800 flashes. David Swanson created this effect by the use of crumpled tin foil in the background reflecting off the surface of the water as he timed the water droplet by eye. ISO 100 was used for a crisp clean image.
