Taken at a horse farm in the countryside of suburban Maryland, this old hound was the mascot that was loved by all the riders. He was sitting in the doorway to one of the old barns on the property, looking into the row of horses, when a sound outside the barn attracked the dog's attention and he quickly snapped his head toe the left resulting in an informal portrait. Sadly, the dog died a few weeks after I captured him in this image and was the last photo taken of him before he died.
