Another one of my favorite ballooning events in Colorado, Steamboat Springs Balloon Rodeo. A weekend in July every year, I head up to the mountain town of Steamboat Springs for the annual balloon festival. Each year I try to find new angles and compositions for hot air balloons. I attend several events each year, one of my favorite photo subjects. Weather is not always a friend at ballooning events, but on clear blue sky days, low winds in our favor, this can be an amazing photo opportunity. Once in awhile, I come home with something like this!
