Often, I find that a reflection better portrays the feeling of a scene than the scene itself. In this Blue Ridge Autumn photo, I felt that a reflection in a pond provided an impressionistic mood not present in the original subject. I simply photographed the reflection and inverted the image. I used a Nikon D800 with a Nikkor 28.0-300.0 mm f 3.5-5.6 VR lens at 122 mm, 1/40 sec at f 16, ISO 200.
