I took this photo one afternoon on October 13, 2015 from behind our rented cottage, looking across Great Long Pond on Mount Desert Island in Maine. The cloudy conditions, plus the use of my Tiffen Circular Polarizer, brought out colors that are not always associated with blazing autumn, especially the various shades of pink and lime green. But that is the way it was that wonderful cloudy afternoon. I used a Nikon D 7100 with a Nikkor Zoom Lens (18-200 mm.), with an ISO of 640, F/18, and a 1/25th second exposure. The Focal Length was 170 mm. I used a Gitzo Tripod and Arca-Swiss Head. The next day it was sunny and the color effect I had captured th day before was gone.
