Walking along the new trail from Appalachia to Big Stone Gap, VA I came across an opening. On the forest floor you could see Mountain Laurel bushes growing everywhere as the tall trees covered the rest of the area. The sun just started to come up over the ridge and it illuminated the taller trees giving a nice contrast between the forest floor and the canopy.
