I was on my first trip to Australia, which started in Perth. On my first day there we headed off to see the sights. The first was King’s Park, which has a botanic garden with over 2000 floral species. I saw this brilliant orange flower that just screamed vivid color against a very dark background. I shot it with my Nikon D7000 and AF-S Nikkor 28-300mm ED VR lens at ISO 200, f/5.6, 1/1000 sec at 122mm.
