The Appalachian Trail is a 2,180+ mile long public footpath that stretches from Georgia to Maine. It works its way over the Appalachian Mountains through 14 states. It takes most people 5-6 months to finish the entire trail from start to finish. One of my favorite spots along the trail is the Roan Highlands. The Highlands have full 360 degree views with some of the most gorgeous grassy balds. To say it's Picturesque would be an under statement.
