Antelope Canyon, near Page, Arizona, is one of the iconic slot canyons on every nature photographers bucket list. Located on the Navajo reservation, all trips must be guided by native Americans. On this trip, I paid an additional fee for the special tour for photographers. The guide would hold back those on the regular tour so the photographers could shoot without people in their images.
I understand these special tours are no longer done. A wide angle lens, preferably a fast zoom with image stabilization, is very useful. Also, take precautions to protect your gear from dust which is everywhere.
Image made with Canon 5Dmark4, Canon 16-35 F4 IS L lens at 30mm, ISO 400,
0.5 second at F 11.
