We had to be out of our hotel at 5 am to make our flight out of Fairbanks, Alaska. I set up the camera, an F4s on a Manfrotto tripod with ballhead, in our hotel room the night before, so I could photograph the snow on the Alaska Range at 4 am just as the sun was starting to come up. I used a Nikon 80-200 mm lens at 180 mm. Exposure information was not recorded. I was not expecting the snow to turn pink.
