The Alabama Hills near the eastern slope of the Sierra Nevada Mountains in the Owens Valley outside of Lone Pine, CA. Both Lone Pine Mountain and Mt. Whitney are in sight. A multitude of westerns were filmed in this area. I almost expected John Wayne and his horse to come riding into the scene!
