Canon just unveiled two new digital DSLRs in its Rebel lineup: the EOS Rebel T6s and the EOS Rebel T6i DSLR cameras. Both Rebel DSLRs feature a newly developed 24.2 megapixel Canon CMOS imaging sensor and built-in Wi-Fi and NFC to make shooting and sharing images easier.

Yes, it’s official. Canon just announced the long rumored 5D Mark IV DSLR and Shutterbug was one of a handful of media outlets to get our hands on this new 30.4MP Full Frame camera and take it for a test-drive.

Canon created a buzz early this morning with the introduction of two DSLR cameras, the 26.2-megapixel full-frame 6D Mark II for enthusiasts and the affordable Rebel SL2 for first-time DSLR users.

Rumors about an alleged 7D Mark II digital SLR from Canon have been swirling for several years and now those rumors have come to fruition. At the photokina show in Cologne, Germany today, Canon finally took the wraps off the 20.2-megapixel Canon EOS 7D Mark II, the long awaited successor to the original 18MP 7D DSLR from 2009.

While driving around upstate New York during the peak fall foliage season and testing the new Canon EOS 50D, I met the perfect candidate for this camera.

The new EOS 7D fills a gap in Canon’s D-SLR line-up that never existed before, fitting somewhere between the EOS 5D Mark II and EOS 50D; it also goes head-to-head with the Nikon 300S I tested for the January 2010 issue of Shutterbug.

If you look at Canon’s website you’ll notice that the 18-megapixel EOS Rebel T2i sits between the EOS 50D and the price-point EOS Rebel XS, the latter being a camera I tried and disliked intensely.
