Early Start
It was the enthusiasm that her grandmother and mother had for photography
that led to Lindsay receiving a camera for the holidays at age 13. A year
later, Lindsay, who is now a senior in high school, sold her first photo
to a calendar company. She has since published over a dozen photos in
calendars.

Nature photography is a prime
interest—Lindsay received a scholarship to attend this year’s
North American Nature Photography Association’s annual conference,
where she met, among others, National Geographic photographer Jim Brandenburg—but
our choice of still life images for this page was fine with her. “A
lot of my pictures that are the most graphic and have the most impact
are still life. I carry a camera everywhere and photograph everything,
from people to sports. I just enjoy being with the camera.”
