Photo Village Now Located In Flatiron District
After surveying the best camera stores in the world, Photo Village chose the best elements from each to build a new showroom in the Flatiron District of New York City, located between 25th and 26th Streets. It is interesting to note that the store was built in France, disassembled, and then rebuilt in New York City. In addition, Photo Village is the US distributor for Cosina-Voigtländer products, and is the only East Coast Leica shop. For more information, visit www.photovillage.com.

Ritz Camera Centers Installs Print Bars In Stores Nationwide
Ritz Camera Centers has added another feature to their stores to make printing digital images even easier. They have installed Print Bars in approximately 50 Ritz Camera and Wolf Camera stores across the country, with more stores scheduled to get the Print Bars equipment this year. Print Bars allow customers to sit at machines to select, edit, and print their digital images from their media cards. This new service gives customers a chance to relax and take their time while going through their images on the screen. Comfort and convenience were key points when designing the Print Bars, and as always prints can be made in as fast as 10 minutes. For more information, visit www.ritzcamera.com.

Another World Wide Panorama
On January 1, 2005, another edition of the World Wide Panorama project was released. This is a collaborative effort by 186 photographers from 38 countries, each contributing one VR panorama. These computer images allow a 360Þ view, letting you look in any direction, including straight up and down. The theme for this event was “Sanctuary,” a term allowing for many interpretations. The participants contributed sanctuaries as diverse as forest scenes and cozy cafes. It is important to note that all continents (except Antarctica) are represented, and 27 American states. The World Wide Panorama project is sponsored by the Geography Computing Facility, University of California Berkeley. For more information, visit www.worldwidepanorama.com.
