Curves control is easily done for those who want to tweak the default settings. For most people, this won’t be needed, but it’s nice to know it’s there!

(Left) On-screen instructions show you how to calibrate LCD or CRT monitors—no guessing required here.
(Rright) Once you place the colorimeter on the screen and press Continue, the Spyder2 software takes over and begins to measure colors automatically. The entire process takes about 20 minutes. The device reads red, green, blue, and gray values as well as checking the black and white points for your monitor.

Before and After displays show a dramatic difference over what I had thought was a very accurate profile. Impressive!
