Ancient volcanic eruptions blanketed the region of Cappadocia, Turkey with thick ash, which solidified into a soft rock-called tuff-tens of meters thick. Erosion then formed a fairy tale landscape of cones, pillars, pinnacles, mushrooms and chimneys which stretch as far as 130 feet into the sky.
Camera: Canon 60D / Tamron 28-75mm lens at 28mm.
Exposure: F 6.3 1/250 ISO 100.
