Sigma Corporation Sponsors Student Magazine Photo Contest, Announces Winner By Press Release March 8, 2010 — Sigma Corporation of America (www.sigmaphoto.com) is pleased to announce the winner of the fourth annual, Sigma-sponsored Nature’s Best Photography Students photography contest.

Sally Bornbusch, an 18-year-old college freshman studying biology and fine arts, is the grand prize winner of the student magazine’s most recent photo contest. Her winning image captured the reflections of two sandhill cranes in a body of water at Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge in New Mexico. Bornbusch’s winning photo and description, and the images submitted by other contest runners-up, can be viewed at www.naturesbeststudents.com.

Sigma Corporation of America sponsors Nature’s Best Photography Students’ twice-yearly photography contests by donating a Sigma lens of the winner’s choice valued at $650. This endeavor, like the Sigma Corporation of America Scholarship that was recently announced for high school seniors, is part of company’s mission to support young photographers.

Submissions for the next Nature’s Best Photography Students photo contest will be accepted through March 1; Sigma’s scholarship contest submissions are being accepted until Feb. 15.
